Scarecrow Festival

Since we aren't able to attend the Pumpkin Walk in Cache Valley this year, we had to find a suitable substitution. We decided on the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We went on the first day of the kids fall break but there were still a TON of people. Luckily the weather was good and it was a nice family outing (minus the dad). In fact, the one thing that would have made the trip better would have been another adult. Besides offering conversation they could have been another lookout when the kids ran off in different directions.

Here are a few of the highlights:

I was so impressed with how well the older kids looked after Parker on the slides and pretty much throughout the day. He really looks up to them.

There weren't actually that many scarecrows displayed at the festival but we found this photo op on our way out of the park.

Just chillin' in the pumpkin patch. They wanted to take some home but I had my hands full with a baby (on oxygen mind you) and a sleepy two year old. I did NOT want to pack pumpkins on top of that.

Parker made a friend at the festival. They had more fun playing with this cord holding some big balloons than they did on some of the rides. And it sure beats waiting in line.

Zipporah and Miles both tried rock (wall) climbing and did a good job. They didn't quite reach the top but almost..........

Way to let them start rock climbing. Peter would be so jealous of your kids. :)
